General Description
Boreal Chorus Frog (Pseudacris maculata) is a cryptically colored little (1.9-4 cm) frog that is distributed across Canada and the western and north-central U.S. They can be found in or near calm bodies of water in wetlands or meadows. They use both permanent and ephemeral water, and it is not uncommon for them to lay eggs in ponds that will dry up before the tadpoles have metamorphosed.
