General Description
Eastern Barking Frog (Craugastor augusti latrans) is a medium-sized (up to 8 cm) subspecies of barking frog that occurs in Texas and New Mexico. They are found in creosote and mesquite shrublands, oak woodlands, and desert scrub habitats. The male?s call resembles the bark of a small dog.
