General Description
Slevin's Bunchgrass Lizard (Sceloporus slevini) is a small (16 cm total length) lizard that occurs in southeastern Arizona, adjacent southwestern New Mexico and northwestern Mexico. They are most common on east- and south-facing mountain slopes in bunchgrass that grows in open conifer woodlands and open plains. Their activity increases during the late summer rains.
