General Description
Shortneck Snaggletooth Snail (Gastrocopta dalliana) is a tiny (shell height 1.6-1.8 mm) terrestrial snail that is widespread through Arizona, northern Mexico, and southwestern New Mexico. In New Mexico it is only known from Indian Creek Canyon on the northern slope of Animas Peak in the Animas Mountains. They attach themselves with mucous strands to debris when weather is unfavorable allowing them to be dispersed long distances via storms or floods.
