General Description
Abert?s Towhee (Melozone aberti) is a medium-sized (21-23 cm) songbird of the southwestern U.S. They inhabit cottonwood-willow woodlands near water in desert areas. They are locally common, but are vulnerable to habitat degradation because of their restricted distribution in the state.
