General Description

Gila Trout (Oncorhynchus gilae) is a medium-sized (26 cm) trout that occurs in New Mexico within clear, cold mountain streams of the Gila, and San Francisco River drainages. During droughts they become restricted to deeper pools as the stream stretches become dry.
