General Description
Western Narrow-mouthed Toad (Gastrophryne olivacea) is a small (4 cm) stout-bodied toad that is distributed through the southern Great Plains of the U.S. and across northern Mexico. They are found in grassland and desert grassland habitats where they feed primarily on ants. Breeding is triggered by high humidity and mild temperatures.
