General Description
Pecos Springsnail (Pyrgulopsis pecosensis) is a tiny (shell length up to 3 mm) thermal spring snail that is only found in Blue and Castle springs in Eddy County, New Mexico. They live in gypsum silt and pebble substrates along the edges of high-volume clean spring runs.
