How to Contribute Data to NHNM

In addition to the field work completed by its professional staff, Natural Heritage New Mexico depends on the observations of scientists and knowledgeable amateur naturalists to continue building its statewide database on the locations of rare taxa and natural plant communities.

Data can be contributed via online data entry forms at http://nm-cis.unm.edu/partners/wde, with a downloadable spreadsheet, or with the downloadable forms below.

Once received, your observation will be reviewed NHNM staff. If appropriate, it will be incorporated into the database as a new record, or used to update an existing record. If you wish to contribute spatial data, please consult our GIS Standards page, or contact our GIS Specialist.

To view or print an observation form, click on the appropriate link below. Forms are available in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
